The Karolos Ensemble, composed of internationally-acclaimed performers Harriet Mackenzie (violin), Sarah-Jane Bradley (viola) and Graham Walker (cello), recently recorded two discs of superb chamber music by Stephen Dodgson. Their Rhyl Music Club programme includes Dodgson’s first string trio alongside gems of the repertoire by Schubert and Beethoven. To celebrate the 90th birthday of Jane Dodgson, widow of Stephen Dodgson and (as Jane Clark) herself a distinguished harpsichordist and teacher, the Barnes Music Festival is delighted to host a special concert in partnership with the Stephen Dodgson Charitable Trust. The concert will feature her favourite works by Stephen and other composers including Scarlatti and Couperin, performed by well-known harpsichordist Julian Perkins. Performing alongside Julian will be Jonathan Farey (horn) and Josh Salter (cello). The concert will be followed by a reception to which all are invited.
